# Override Dashboard Filters on child widgets

* To apply what you have filters in your Dashboard to a View, simply turn ON the Filter toggle.

* The Dashboard filter toggle in a View will auto turn ON and all filters of the Dashboard will apply to that View.

If the Dashboard filters don't contain any value of a data model, it won't display in its View.

The <mark style="color:purple;">purple</mark> dot on the right corner of each filter tag indicates that those filters are managed in the Dashboard.

* Click on the Dashboard filter toggle again to turn it OFF. All filters that are managed only in that View will be visible.
